Patrick Taylor is a Partner at Debevoise & Plimpton, and Co-Chair of the firm’s Africa
practice. He focuses on commercial and investment arbitration, with particular experience in the upstream oil & gas, energy, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications sectors. He has advised and represented clients in disputes worldwide, and most frequently in Africa, Eastern Europe, and, increasingly, in Latin America. He regularly advises clients on investment protection in high-risk jurisdictions, shareholder, joint venture, distribution, post-M&A and general contractual disputes and complex damages analysis. Patrick is also a member of the IBA Arbitration Subcommittee on Investor-State Arbitration, and he sits as an arbitrator.
